EGG & BACON JAFFLES

Servings: 1

Ingredients

3 pieces rindless bacon, fried until crispy
2 slices thick white bread (the wider the better)
Butter
1 egg

Directions

In a frying pan, fry the bacon until nice and crispy. Remove from the frying pan and drain on kitchen paper.

Butter the bread and place one of the slices, buttered side down, onto the opened jaffel iron. Push the bread down gently to make a “bowl” and place the pre-fried bacon in the middle. Gently crack an egg on top of the bacon. Cover with the second slice of bread (buttered side up this time). Close the jaffel iron and break off the crusts that are sticking out.

Place over hot coals and cook for 6 minutes, flipping over after 3 minutes. Adjust the cooking time according to the heat of your coals and how you prefer your eggs. Eat immediately!
