ORGANIC ROOT VEGETABLES WITH HONEY & THYME
WHOLE BAKED APPLES
Soft caramelised apples stuffed with a luxurious filling of crunchy hazelnuts, sweet sultanas, orange zest, NOMU Sweet Rub and honey. Serve with double thick cream for a super cosy pud!

WHOLE BAKED APPLES

Makes: 8

Ingredients

100g sultanas
50g hazelnuts, lightly toasted and roughly chopped
3 tbsp NOMU Sweet Rub
5 pumps NOMU Vanilla Paste
2 tbsp honey
25g butter, melted
Juice of half an orange
8 medium golden delicious apples, washed and cored
Double thick cream, to serve

Directions

Preheat your oven to 180°C.

Combine the sultanas, hazelnuts, NOMU Sweet Rub, Vanilla Paste, honey, butter and orange juice in a medium bowl.

Place the cored apples into an ovenproof dish and spoon the sultana mixture into the centre of each one to fill.

Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the apples are tender when tested with a skewer and beautifully golden. Remove from the oven and place an apple onto serving plates. Spoon the cooking liquid from the ovenproof dish over the apples and serve immediately with double cream.
