Spiced apple cake
Folding some diced apples into a batch of cake batter is a simple change that packs a mighty (and delicious) punch. We highly recommend serving this autumnal cake while still warm with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Spiced apple cake

Servings: 4-6

Ingredients

1 box NOMU MiniMakes Spiced Cake Batter Mix
2 large eggs
¼ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup milk
2 apples, peeled and diced (we recommend Granny Smith or Pink Lady)

Directions

Preheat your oven to 160°C. Grease and line an 20cm cake tin with baking paper.

Whisk the eggs until foamy, then whisk in the oil and milk until well combined. Add the cake mix and whisk to form a smooth batter. Gently stir in the chopped apples, being careful not to overmix the batter.

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared cake tin

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Leave in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool.

Tip: Serve with whipped cream and a generous drizzle of caramel.
