Homemade tomato ketchup
This is so easy to make and makes a really great foodie gift too!

Homemade tomato ketchup

Metric Imperial

Ingredients

3 tbsp NOMU Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 x 400g tins Italian peeled and chopped tomatoes
250ml cider vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp tomato paste
½ cup packed brown sugar
Pinch of mixed spice
Pinch of NOMU Ground Sweet Paprika
NOMU Sea Salt and NOMU Black Pepper

Directions

In a heavy based saucepan, sauté the onions and garlic in the Olive Oil until soft and translucent. Add the tins of tomato and the rest of the ingredients.

Simmer gently for 1 hour until the sauce thickens and reduces by half. Season with salt and pepper.

Place in a blender or processor and puree until completely smooth. Pour into sterilized bottles and keep in the fridge
