Grilled figs with manchego queso
Perfect picnic fare! Manchego cheese is a famous cheese from Spain. Traditionally it is served in Tapas bars with quince paste and a glass of sherry. But here we have paired it with this season’s juicy figs and the combination is mouth-watering!

Grilled figs with manchego queso

Ingredients

8 ripe green figs
1 tbsp NOMU Sweet Rub
A wedge of Manchego Cheese
Sourdough bread, to serve

Directions

Preheat the oven to the grill setting.

Score a deep criss-cross in the top of the figs and sprinkle a pinch of NOMU Sweet Rub in the middle of each. Grill the figs in the oven for 3- 5 minutes or until they have started to bubble slightly.

Serve with Manchego cheese and freshly baked sourdough bread
