4 tbsp flour
4 tbsp caster sugar (Natural Sugars golden caster sugar our favourite)
4 tsp NOMU Cocoa Powder
½ tsp baking powder
2 tbsp melted unsalted butter
½ tsp NOMU Vanilla Essence
4 tbsp milk
1 large egg, whisked
4 tsp NOMU Decadent Hot Chocolate pieces (optional)
4 tsp Nutella, or salted caramel or unsalted peanut butter (optional)
Vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream, to serve
In a bowl, sieve and combine your flour, sugar, NOMU Cocoa Powder and baking powder.
In a jug, whisk together the melted butter, NOMU Vanilla Essence, milk and egg.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in the NOMU Decadent Hot Chocolate pieces.
Spoon equally into 4 ramekins or cups and add a teaspoon of your favourite addition. Place on a plate so that they are equally spaced in the microwave and microwave for 3 minutes on 900W. Adjust cooking time accordingly if you microwave on lower power.
Serve immediately with vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream.
Tip: This recipe is easy to halve but only use half the whisked egg otherwise it will be too eggy – in our opinion.
