GRANOLA
Great with a splash of milk or thick farmhouse yoghurt!

GRANOLA

Makes: 800g

Ingredients

250g rolled oats
1/3 cup (80ml) sunflower seeds
100g whole almonds, roughly chopped
1 tsp NOMU Sweet Rub
50g unsalted butter
80g brown sugar
1/2 cup honey

Directions

Preheat the oven to 150°C.

In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, sunflower seeds, almonds and NOMU Sweet Rub.

In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar and honey. Pour the mixture over the oat mixture and mix really well with a wooden spoon When it is cool enough to handle, you can also mix it with your hands.

Spread the granola mixture thinly and evenly in a baking tray and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the granola is completely golden. Check every now and then to make sure the nuts and seeds are not burning.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool before storing in an airtight container.
