Ingredients

CHOCOLATE BASE
 
¾ cup white sugar
1 cup cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup milk
90 g butter, melted
 
CHOCOLATE TOPPING
 
1 cup light brown sugar
1 pinch NOMU Sea Salt
1¼ cups boiling water

Directions

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Generously butter a large baking dish and set aside.

Sift together the dry ingredients for the base in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and melted butter; add to the dry ingredients and mix well until smooth and combined. Spread the batter into the bottom of the prepared dish.

For the topping, whisk together the sugar, NOMU cocoa powder and NOMU sea salt in a small bowl. Dust the dry mixture over the top of the base evenly.

Stir the NOMU Vanilla Extract into the hot water and slowly pour over the sugar mixture evenly.

Carefully place the baking dish into the centre of the oven and bake for 30-45 minutes, until the middle is just set.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
