Homemade condensed milk

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
2 cups full cream milk
30g unsalted butter
1 tsp NOMU Vanilla Extract or NOMU Vanilla Essence

Directions

In a heavy-based saucepan, combine the sugar and milk and stir until the sugar has melted.

Turn the heat down as low as possible and leave to simmer for 1-2 hours until the milk is thick and syrupy, stirring occasionally to prevent it from catching on the bottom of the pan.

Whisk in the butter and Vanilla Extract or Essence and allow the mixture to cool before using.

Tips: Makes more than 1 cup of condensed milk.
