Hot Chocolate Cake-in-a-Mug

Ingredients

Cake:
30g (or 1 sachet) NOMU Just Add Water Hot Chocolate
1 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp flour
¼ tsp baking powder
1 tbsp melted unsalted butter (or vegetable oil)
3 tbsp milk

Hot chocolate sauce:
125ml cream
3-4 tbsp NOMU Just Add Water Hot Chocolate

To serve:
Vanilla Ice-cream

Directions

To prepare the cake, combine the NOMU Just Add Water Hot Chocolate, sugar, flour and baking powder in a bowl. Add the melted butter and milk and whisk until evenly combined.

Spoon the batter into a mug and cook on high in the microwave for 1 minute. It’s that simple!

Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and NOMU Just Add Water Hot Chocolate Sauce.

Hot chocolate sauce:

Place the cream and Hot Chocolate powder in a small saucepan and gently heat, stirring consistently until smooth and creamy.  Alternatively, simply heat the cream in the microwave for 30-60 seconds. While still hot, add the hot chocolate powder and stir until evenly combined. Serve warm.

Tip: If you’re making more than one mug cake remember to cook them one at a time in the microwave.
