150g hazelnuts
100g NOMU Decadent Hot Chocolate pieces
2 tbsp NOMU Cocoa Powder
80g icing sugar
½ tsp (2-3 pumps) NOMU Vanilla Paste
½ tsp vegetable oil
1/3 cup (80ml) fresh cream
A sterilised 250g glass jar
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Place the hazelnuts on a baking tray and roast in the oven for 5-10 minutes until fragrant. Remove and rub vigorously with a clean tea towel to remove as much of the bitter papery skin as possible. Grind the hazelnuts in a food processor until they form a reasonably smooth paste.
Melt the NOMU Decadent Hot Chocolate pieces slowly over a double boiler or in the microwave. Set aside and allow to cool.
Add the cooled melted chocolate along with the rest of the ingredients to the blender and continue to blend until as smooth as possible.
Scoop the mixture into a sterilised jar, seal and keep at room temperature.
Tip: Package your jar with brown paper, twine and a printable label to give as a gift to someone you love!
