Pear And Cinnamon Oatmeal Crumble

Ingredients

Crumble:
1 x NOMU Oatmeal Cookie Kit
125g unsalted butter, softened

Pear Filling:
60g unsalted butter
1kg firm pears, peeled and diced
1 cup water
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp NOMU Sweet Rub
Cream, whipped (optional)

Directions

Preheat your oven to 180°C. Lightly grease 6-8 ramekins or a 25cm pie dish.

To make the crumble, place the Oatmeal Cookie mix in a bowl and rub in the butter using your fingertips. Set aside.

To prepare the pie filling, place the butter and pears in a heavy-based saucepan over medium heat and stir until the butter has melted. Add the water, sugar and NOMU Sweet Rub and mix through. Boil the mixture for about 20-25 minutes or until the pears are soft and the liquid has reduced, leaving a syrupy textured filling.

Scoop the pear filling into the prepared ramekins or pie dish and sprinkle the crumble on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.

Serve with freshly whipped cream, vanilla bean ice cream or fresh custard.
