Butterscotch sauce

Makes: 1 1/2 cups

Metric Imperial

Ingredients

¾ cup light brown sugar
½ cup golden syrup
2 tbsp butter
½ cup cream
5 pumps NOMU Vanilla Paste

Directions

Combine the brown sugar, golden syrup and butter in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to help dissolve the sugar. Boil for 1 minute and then remove from heat. Stir in cream and vanilla immediately.

Cool and store in the refrigerator. Stir before serving over ice cream, puddings, or desserts.

 

Tip: While hot, pour into sterilized jars and keep for 3 months. This also makes a scrumptious gift!
