Dukkah-Roasted Pears with Goats Cheese and Honey
A tasty cheeseboard-inspired starter to impress your guests. Roasting the pears gives them a lovely spoon-soft texture and deepens their sweet flavour. Recipe by Sam Linsell

Dukkah-Roasted Pears with Goats Cheese and Honey

Servings: 4-6 as part of a cheeseboard

Ingredients

2 – 3 pears
1 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp Egyptian dukkah
Soft goat’s cheese
Crackers, to serve
Honey, to drizzle

Directions

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Slice the pears into quarters lengthways and remove the core.

Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper or silicone sheets with the cut side facing up. Lightly brush the pears with melted butter and then sprinkle with Egyptian dukkah.

Roast in the oven for 40 – 45 minutes, until they are soft and brown.

Serve the roasted pears with your favourite goat’s cheese on a cracker with honey drizzled over.
